Quick Start Workflow

Find Post
Browse the calendar or platform pages to find the post you want to schedule.

Copy Content
Click 'Copy Post' on the post detail page to copy the full content + hashtags.

Open Buffer
Click the 'Open Buffer' button to go directly to buffer.com/publish.
4
Paste & Schedule
Paste the content, select the platform, set the date/time, and click Schedule.

Connection steps
  1. 1Go to buffer.com and click 'Connect Channel'
  2. 2Select Facebook Page (not personal profile)
  3. 3Authorize Buffer to post on behalf of your page
  4. 4Choose your OHS Facebook Page from the list
  5. 5Set your default posting times (recommended: Tue–Thu, 10am–12pm PST)

  1. 1Connect your Instagram Business account (must be linked to a Facebook Page)
  2. 2In Buffer, go to Channels → Add Channel → Instagram
  3. 3Log in with your Instagram credentials
  4. 4Enable 'Direct Scheduling' for automatic posting
  5. 5Best times: Mon/Wed/Fri 9am–11am and 7pm–9pm PST

  2. 2Sign in with your Google account that manages the OHS YouTube channel

CSV Bulk Import (Buffer Pro)

Buffer Pro allows you to import multiple posts at once using a CSV file. This is ideal for scheduling an entire month of OHS content in one pass.

CSV Format

Required columns:
• Date — MM/DD/YYYY HH:MM
• Message — post content + hashtags
• Link — optional URL
• Photo — optional image URL

Steps

  1. 1. Export posts from this calendar as CSV
  2. 2. Go to Buffer → Queue → Import
  3. 3. Upload your CSV file
  4. 4. Review and confirm the scheduled posts
